The rules of betting may seem to be mind-boggling to beginners. You couldn’t be further from the truth. Here is how we bet on Casino:

Inside bets

One number – straight-up – a single number bet, including zero and double zero. Wins are paid at 35:1, and likelihood of winning between 36:1 at the table with one zero and 27:1 at the table with two zeros. English/European roulette guarantees bigger chances than American equivalent as the casino’s advantage rises from 2.7% to 5.26%.

Two numbers – split – a two-number bet on the line between numbers, wins are paid at 17:1.

Three numbers – street – players can also bet on three different numbers by placing their chips at the end of each line. The wins are paid at 11:1 also when the field you bet on is zero and double zero.

Four numbers – corner – to bet on four numbers, you have to place chips at the meeting point of lines which divide the fields. The wins are paid 8 to 1.

Six numbers – line – it is the bet on six adjacent numbers, wins are paid at 5:1.

Outside bets

Dozen – outside dozen – groups of numbers from 1 to 12, from 13 to 24 and from 25 to 36, as well as one of three columns are paid 2 to 1.

The bets on outside fields are paid 1 to 1. You can bet on black or red fields, odd or event fields and high (from 19 to 36) and low (1 to 18) numbers.

Payment

In the first place the croupier pays players who bet on outside bets and then inside bets.

Zero

With regard to bets on outside fields, the rules of paying widely depend on the casino. If the ball stays on zero, on Casino half of chips return to the game. In France such bet remains frozen until another game. In most casinos around the world when the ball falls on the single or double zero, the player can only… swear and keep on gambling.
