Arrange two hands, one five-card and the other two-card, to beat the dealer. You can already start the game and win!
Pai Gow Poker is a combination of poker and ancient Chinese game – Pai Go. This relatively new casino game was first presented about 5 years ago. It is not as popular as other casino games but surely guarantees a lot of pleasure. So far few casinos offer this game, however you can find it on Casino.
In Pai Gow Poker you compete against a dealer and use a deck of 53 cards: 52 standard cards plus one joker. Joker takes the form of ace or may substitute any other card in the royal flush, flush or straight.
It is simple!
To start the game, you need to make the initial bet. To choose it, you have to click the chip symbol and then a round field in the center of the table. Next you receive seven cards. Your task is to form two hands. The first hand „highest hand” is composed of 5 cards. The second hand „second highest” consists of two cards only. It is important that a five-card hand is always higher than a two-card.
Otherwise you learn that your hand is „dead” (dead hand) and you cannot keep on playing.
Every hand is compared to analogical hand of your competitor. If you defeat the dealer in both hands, you win the rate but you need to deduct 5% of commission. If you defeat your competitor in one of the hands, it is a draw and your funds are returned. If both your hands are weaker than the other competitor’s, you lose the initial bet.
Role of a banker
This variant is available in the multiplayer game only. This means that you can take a role of banker from time to time. This lets you win in case of the same hand as the dealer’s (copy hands). Your wins are subject to 5% of commission.
Hands
In Pai Gow Poker the highest hand is represented by five aces (4 aces plus joker). This dealing is won with the royal flush. The only difference in card ranking hierarchy between Pai Gow Poker and traditional poker is that A-K-Q-J-10 is the highest straight, A-2-3-4-5 is deemed as the second highest straight, while straight K-Q-J-10-9 is the third strongest hand. Joker may substitute any card in royal flush, flush or straight only.
House way (As per casino)
If you have no idea how to arrange your hands, we will help you out. Just click „house way” (as per casino) and your cards will be divided to form a 5- and 2-card hand based on the same rules of the casino.
Copy hand (identical hands)
When you and croupier have the same hands, the dealing is referred to as „copy hand” (identical hand). This being the case, in Pai Gow Poker it is the croupier who wins (as opposed to blackjack – the identical hand results in a draw). The exception is when you take a role of the banker.
